The Gana Arena Mesmerises Music Lovers

AHMEDABAD, GUJARAT | 16th APRIL 2026 — Music enthusiasts in Ahmedabad were treated to an evening of diverse musical performances as “The Gana Arena”, the third season of Guru Shishya Connect, was held on Sunday.

Curated by versatile singer, composer and music guru Aniket Khandekar, the open-air concert brought together more than 15 professional singers trained under his mentorship, who performed on a single stage in a unique showcase of the traditional guru–shishya bond.

The event featured a fusion of musical styles, including Bollywood, Indian classical and Western influences. The performers presented a mix of solo acts, duets and group performances, creating an engaging musical experience for the audience. Their performances showcased a blend of classical training and contemporary musical expression, drawing appreciation from the audience throughout the evening.

Speaking about the event, Khandekar said, “The idea behind The Gana Arena is to celebrate the deep bond between a guru and his disciples by showcasing their talent together. It is always special to see how my Shishyas have transformed into their accomplished selves through years of training and dedication.”

The concert also featured fusion elements, with artists experimenting with different arrangements and styles. The variety of genres presented during the evening ensured that the programme appealed to a wide audience, ranging from lovers of classical music to fans of contemporary Bollywood compositions.

The audience at the Shreyas Foundation Amphitheatre responded enthusiastically to the artists, with several performances receiving warm applause.

The Gānā Arena Sponsored by Selverra Studio and Powered by O Shreeji Dental, Aurradent and Meditravel aimed to provide an opportunity for trained vocalists to perform together while celebrating the continuing tradition of mentorship in music.

The evening concluded on a high note with a collaborative performance featuring multiple singers on stage, bringing the concert to a lively close.
