Gujarat, Ahmedabad 29th January 2025: Sony BBC Earth concludes the fourth edition of ‘Earth In Focus’, the annual photography contestinviting photo enthusiasts to share their extraordinary capturesof India’s vibrant and natural beauty. Revolving around the theme “One World, Many Frames”, the contest received more than 2000 entriesunder the sub-categories of Markets: A Vibrant Melting Pot, Ancient Marvels, and Wildlife. Soumayan Biswas, Mukesh Tripathi, and Akshita Jain are the proud winners of the contest.
Photography is the art of capturing fleeting moments, freezing them in time to tell stories, and preserving memories. Sony BBC Earth’s ‘Earth in Focus’ contest was designed to celebrate these diverse perspectives and showcase the ones that stand out. After carefuldeliberation, Shivang Mehta, the esteemed judge of the contest selected the top threewinners – Soumayan Biswas, Mukesh Tripathi, and Akshita Jain across categories of Indian Markets, Ancient Marvels, and Wildlife, respectively.The talented winnerswill not just bring home the mega prize of GoPro HERO12, but also a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to feature on the Sony BBC Earth channel.
