Sant Bhandara Organised at Talgajarda

Morari Bapu dedicates the bhandara to the victims of the Ahmedabad plane crash

Talgajarda 13 June 2025: A Sant Bhandara was organised in Talgajarda on Friday to mark the nirvana of Smt. Narmada Ba, the spiritual consort of renowned spiritual leader Morari Bapu. In line with the traditions of the saint community, the event began with ceremonial veneration of the saints and mahants who had arrived from various spiritual institutions.

Among the esteemed attendees were Jagadguru Satua Baba (Varanasi), Lalit Kishor Bapu (Limbdi), Jankidal Bapu (Kamijda), Mahamandaleshwar Nirmala Ba of Paliyad, Bhaktiram Bapu (Savarkundla), and Dalpat Saheb of Kahanwadi, along with several other respected saints. They were respectfully welcomed and honoured by Morari Bapu’s family.

In his address, Morari Bapu paid heartfelt tributes to those who lost their lives in the recent plane crash in Ahmedabad.

Reflecting on the traditions of the saintly order before the large gathering of saints and devotees, he remarked, “In our sadhu samaj, the samadhi of a departed soul marks the conclusion. There are no formal mourning rituals such as condolence meetings or customary thirteenth-day observances. A bhandara may be organised as per the family’s wishes.”

Bapu also highlighted cleanliness, purity, joyfulness, freedom, and detachment, collectively known as the Sadhu Panchak, as the five essential qualities of a true sadhu.

It is noteworthy that in view of the Ahmedabad plane tragedy, Morari Bapu suspended the traditional samaiyas (processions) and the scheduled Santvani program. He dedicated the entire bhandara, removing his own family from the focus, to honour the souls of those who perished in the crash.

The event was attended by saints and mahants as well as listeners of Morari Bapu’s discourses from India and abroad. The entire event was coordinated by AnubapuHariyani.
