MUMBAI, MAHARASHTRA | 23rd MARCH 2026 — Two decades, millions of wardrobes, and countless style moments later, Max didn’t just celebrate its anniversary it threw a full-blown fashion party on one of India’s most iconic runways.
Welcome to Lakmé Fashion Week. Max’s way.
The lights dimmed. The music dropped. And just like that, the runway stopped being a runway.
What unfolded over 35 looks was less a traditional fashion show and more a living, breathing snapshot of how young India actually dresses. Experimental. Confident. Unapologetically itself.
Three names lit up the stage. Three very different energies. One unmistakable message.
The showcase opened on an electrifying note as Siddhant Chaturvedi stepped onto the runway, instantly transforming the fashion show into a moment of culture and performance. With the beat dropping and the lights shifting, Siddhant set the tone for the Max Urban segment bringing his signature swagger, spontaneity and effortless cool to the stage.
As the energy carried forward, Alaya F took over the runway for the Urban showcase. Radiating confidence and playful attitude, she embodied the bold, expressive spirit of the line. Her walk felt vibrant and instinctive, the kind of fashion moment that reminds you style today is about personality, experimentation and owning the room.
Siddhant returned to the runway once again, this time transitioning into the brand’s core aesthetic. Moving from the high-energy urban mood into a more relaxed and versatile fashion narrative, his second appearance reflected Max’s approach to contemporary everyday style effortless, confident and easy to wear.
And then came the grand moment.
Kalki Koechlin stepped onto the runway for the core segment as the showstopper, bringing with her an unmistakable sense of individuality and quiet power. With her poised presence and distinctive style, Kalki commanded the runway, adding a striking elegance to the showcase. The evening culminated in a celebratory grand finale as Kalki Koechlin was joined by Siddhant Chaturvedi and Alaya F on the runway, bringing all three brand ambassadors together. The trio closed the show in a vibrant, high-energy moment that felt less like an ending and more like a celebration of fashion, personality and the spirit of Max.
At the heart of the showcase was “Unserious Everything,” a concept that blends thoughtful craftsmanship with a playful, carefree attitude to fashion. The collection unfolded through three key style directions, Urban, Sports Core and Core Casual, reflecting an effortless and expressive approach to modern dressing.
Urban captured a breezy summer mood with citrus prints, crochet textures and relaxed co-ords for women, alongside lemon prints, vintage florals and easy summer silhouettes for men.
Sports Core introduced a vibrant athleisure energy through cropped fits, tube tops and oversized tees for women, while menswear featured basketball-inspired graphics across polos, tees and shorts.
The showcase then moved into Core Casual, where airy cotton silhouettes, serene blues, crisp whites and relaxed tailoring highlighted refined everyday dressing.
The presentation concluded with an Indo-Western fusion moment, where oversized botanical motifs in indigos and earthy tones brought a poetic finish to the runway, capturing a wardrobe philosophy rooted in versatility, individuality and effortless style.
Twenty Years. And Counting.
“Completing 20 years in India is an incredibly special moment for Max Fashion. India has always been a vibrant and expressive fashion market, and over the years we’ve grown
alongside a generation that approaches style with confidence, individuality and a sense of fun. Bringing this celebration to the Lakmé Fashion Week runway felt like the perfect way to mark the milestone.”
— Sumit Chandna, CEO, Max Fashion
Beyond the runway, Max hosted a dedicated brand experience zone across the four days of Lakmé Fashion Week, an immersive space where editors, creators and fashion insiders could step inside the world of the collections and get up close with the brand’s vision.
It wasn’t just a show. It was a statement. Max has spent 20 years growing up alongside India’s fashion culture and if the runway at Lakmé was anything to go by, the next 20 are going to be even more interesting.
