Ahmedabad’s Very Own Shruti Pathak Back Home for New Projects and Navratri Performances

GUJARAT, AHMEDABAD | 22nd AUGUST 2025: Celebrated playback singer, lyricist, and performer Shruti Pathak is currently in Ahmedabad, where she is working on an exciting new project. She is here for a recording, while also gearing up for festive performances in Navratri.

Widely regarded as one of the most soulful and versatile voices in contemporary Indian music, Shruti has enjoyed an illustrious career across Bollywood, Gujarati music, and independent platforms. Her repertoire spans classical influences, folk traditions, and contemporary sounds, making her a rare artist who bridges diverse musical worlds with ease.

A Filmfare Award nominee, she first shot to fame with the unforgettable Mar Jaawaan from Fashion, and went on to lend her voice to popular hits such as Tujhe Bhula Diya and Aas PaasKhuda (AnjaanaAnjaani), Heer (with fellow AmdavadiNucleya), and the much-loved Shubhaarambh from Kai Po Che!. She is also an accomplished lyricist, having penned songs like Shubhaarambh and Paayaliya (Dev D).

Her contribution to Gujarati music has been equally significant. From the devotional charm of Radha Ne Shyam with Sachin–Jigar, to the powerful Haiyaa from the National Award winning Hellaro, Shruti has consistently delivered iconic performances. Most recently, her rendition of Patan naPatrani in the period epic Nayikadevi (2023) earned her multiple awards and critical acclaim.

Shruti has performed at more than 2,000 live shows worldwide, from intimate concerts to grand stages, blending classical influences with folk and contemporary genres. She has appeared on all three seasons of Coke Studio India, MTV Unplugged (with Sachin–Jigar), and The Dewarists, further enhancing her reputation as a versatile artist.

Speaking about her Ahmedabad visit, Shruti said, “Ahmedabad is home, the place where my journey began, and it is always great to be back. I am working on some exciting projects that will be finalised during this visit. I also look forward to garba celebrations with people who have supported me from the very beginning.”

Born and brought up in Ahmedabad, Shruti learned classical music under her guru Divyang Thakore before moving to Mumbai after completing her Master’s in Psychology to pursue a career in her true calling, music. From singing her first track for the Baby Doll remix series in 2004 to becoming one of India’s most recognisable voices, Ahmedabad niDikri Shruti Pathak continues to enchant audiences.
