Women Leaders Inspire at Yi WE Impact Conclave

Yi WE Impact Conclave brings together inspiring women leaders from across the country.

GUJARAT, AHMEDABAD | 26th JULY 2025: Young Indians (Yi) Ahmedabad hosted the Yi WE Impact Conclave 2025 on Saturday, bringing together an inspiring constellation of women leaders and changemakers who challenged stereotypes and redefined leadership across domains. Held on Kargil Vijay Diwas, the day-long event marked a powerful celebration of women shaping the future through courage and purpose.

Themed “Women Shaping Tomorrow, Today”, the conclave witnessed a stirring address by Major Prajakta Desai, retired army officer and military-inspired leadership coach. Paying homage to the martyrs of the Kargil War, she reflected on her journey.

“In the army, you are not a man or woman, you are a leader,” she told the audience, while sharing the five core principles of military leadership viz. decisive action, mission over ego, initiative in chaos, moral strength, and leading from the front.

Drawing from Operation Sindoor and legends such as Major Vikram Batra and Capt. Manoj Pandey, she said, “Leaders are not born, they are made.”

Another compelling session featured Bhakti Sharma, National Executive Member of BJP Yuva Morcha, who traced the historical arc of women’s leadership in Indian society. Quoting the  ancient texts and invoking the spirit of Rani Laxmi Bai to today’s pioneers, she urged the participants to respect the strength a woman leader brings.

Fireside chats added a personal dimension to the day-long conclave. Meha Patel, Vice Chairperson of Zydus Foundation, spoke of leading with empathy and purpose, while formula 4 racer  Mira Erda discussed carving one’s niche in traditionally male-dominated spaces.

The conclave also featured immersive masterclasses, wherein Riri G Trivedi guided participants on a journey to inner wellness, and Yeshasvini Ramaswamy explored leadership and culture in the age of Artificial Intelligence. A panel on “Stories of Strength from Ahmedabad” showcased voices such as public policy analyst Lipi Khandar, Sahaay Foundation co-founder Zeal Shah, De’anma founder Priyanka Desai, and Dean of aviation at Indus University, Radhika Bhandari, who shared their experiences of impact at the grassroots.

Commenting on the event, Yi Ahmedabad Chairperson Rohan Shah said, “The Yi WE Impact Conclave is a celebration of voice, vision and values. It is about building spaces where women lead not because they fit a mould, but because they break it. The conversations have sparked a deeper understanding of leadership that is inclusive, intentional, and inspiring.”

Also, commenting on the event the Yi Women Engagement Chairperson  Ms.Miral Shah mentioned that this event was not just an event but a movement and that we were extremely proud that the entire event was specially abled inclusive. And that true empowerment means inclusivity of everyone.
