Conclave to focus on scale, smart manufacturing and sustainable operations as the state looks to strengthen its position as a global manufacturing hub
AHMEDABAD, GUJARAT | 15th SEPTEMBER 2026 | The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Gujarat will organise the fourth edition of the CII Gujarat Manufacturing Conclave on the theme ‘Scale, Smart & Sustainable: Future-Proofing Gujarat’s Manufacturing’ on September 18 in Ahmedabad.
The day-long conclave will bring together industry leaders, policymakers and experts to discuss the priorities shaping the next phase of industrial growth in Gujarat.
The conclave will focus on three key areas for the manufacturing sector, namely scale, smart manufacturing and sustainable operations. Discussions will examine how businesses can build greater scale, adopt relevant technologies to improve efficiency and safety, and pursue growth while keeping environmental and resource considerations in focus.
Jayanth Murthy, Convenor of CII Gujarat Manufacturing Panel, said, “Gujarat has built a strong manufacturing base across various sectors, but the next phase of growth will require us to think bigger, adopt technology and integrate sustainability into their operations.

The conclave will feature perspectives from senior industry and sector experts, including Jun Takahashi, Director General of Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), Achal Bakeri, Chairman of CII Gujarat State Council, Dr. Sanjeev Rastogi, Head, Group Policy Services at Adani Enterprises Ltd, Jayanth Murthy, Convenor of CII Gujarat Manufacturing Panel, Nirag Choksi, Co-Convenor of CII Gujarat Manufacturing Panel, Ameet Desai, Director of SourcePro Infotech, Minal Pathak, Associate Professor and Academic Director of Climate Institute at Ahmedabad University, and others.
The programme will feature three key sessions on ‘The Mindset for Scale! Shaping Gujarat into a Global Manufacturing Powerhouse’, ‘Smart Manufacturing: Accelerating Industrial Tech Frontier’ and ‘Sustainable Operations: Future-Proofing Gujarat Processes’.
The conclave will provide participants with an opportunity to hear from industry leaders and examine emerging approaches to technology adoption, supply chain resilience, sustainable operations and manufacturing-led growth.
The fourth edition of the CII Gujarat Manufacturing Conclave will be held on Friday, September 18, 2026, at Hotel Le Méridien, Ahmedabad.
